About Lighthouse Ministries International

Welcome to Lighthouse Ministries, where our journey of faith began in February 2001. With a heart for true worship and a mission to serve both the spiritual and social needs of our community, we started with fasting, prayer, and a clear mandate. During a prayer session, God spoke through our late Pastor, Reverend Roy Coleman, declaring, "History begins tonight," and inspiring us to record our story.

In March 2001, the church was officially incorporated, and we found our first home at 3667 White Plains Road. Although the building needed significant repairs, our dedicated members worked tirelessly—13 hours non-stop—to make it a place of worship. With just 20 members, we held a consecrated prayer session and our first Divine Worship Service. Within a month, we outgrew that space, and God led us to a new home at 3645 White Plains Road.

Over the years, we have witnessed God’s abundant blessings, allowing us to grow physically, spiritually, and as a community. With gratitude and determination, we continue to fulfill the vision and purpose God has given us.

Meet The Pastor

Pastor Navlett T. Coleman is a passionate, dynamic woman of God, who is guided by the Holy Spirit. She serves the Lord, with all her strength, might and soul. The anointing on her life is very evident and is cultivated through much prayer and fasting and a dedicated life of holiness unto God. She is not just a Pastor but also a mother to her beautiful daughters Kimmy and Keanna and serves as a mothers figure to all who knows her.

Pastor Coleman accepted the Lord Jesus as her personal Savior at the age of fifteen years old, and has been active in ministry ever since. In the year 2009, she assumed the position of Lead Pastor of Lighthouse Ministries International, to continue the work started by the late and still greatly loved, Bishop Roy Coleman. As his right-hand, she had been constantly molded by him to stand at the helm of the ministry, and with an overwhelming sense of humble obedience to God; she embraced the call to lead God’s people into the next phase of service unto Him.

Pastor Coleman ministers in the prophetic anointing truly attuned to the Word of God for this  generation. Her passion is to see souls transformed, strengthened, and grow in maturity before God. She graduated from International Theological Seminary with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and from Nyack College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management. Pastor Coleman is currently the Dean and a Professor at the Bronx campus of Mount Olive Bible Institute and Seminary, where she graduated with a Master’s degree in Christian Psychology and a Doctoral degree in Christian Counseling.

Pastor Coleman is also a certified chaplain. She provides clear unifying strategic leadership to all area of Lighthouse Ministries International Incorporated and has general oversight of the believers entrusted in her care by the Lord. She is also the primary spokesperson of the policies, goals, direction, vision and ministry of church to members as well as to the broader community, locally and globally. Pastor Coleman is not easily moved by circumstances but rather she prays over circumstances until they are changed by God as she would always say, “I am not worried about it, it’s not my work or doing, it’s the Lord’s.”

The Lighthouse body is truly blessed to have such a wonderful leader as Pastor Navlett Coleman and it is with great joy and pride that we hope to be able to share her gifts, passion, dynamism and anointing with the world.

OUR VISION

Bishop Roy Coleman, our founder, left a lasting legacy of leadership, wisdom, and faith. His dedication to investing in others was seen in his teaching, which went beyond theological doctrine to include practical lessons for living as believers in the world. He prepared us to shine outside the walls of the church and planted seeds of faith that continue to bear fruit today.

Through his example, we learned the importance of equipping future generations of leaders. Today, under the guidance of Pastor Camillo Simms, we continue the work Bishop Coleman began—building up believers, nurturing spiritual growth, and preparing tomorrow’s leaders.

Though Bishop Coleman is no longer with us, his legacy lives on. At Lighthouse Ministries, we are committed to following the path he set, creating a community rooted in faith, service, and love.

Bishop Roy Coleman – Gone, but never forgotten.
